Recently the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), www.ut.edu/utjournal<br />
an association of 750 nonprofit independent colleges and uni-<br />
versities, published research that summarized data from more<br />
than 540,000 first-year and senior students enrolled at more<br />
than 900 colleges and universities.<br />
