A NEW ENVIRONMENT<br />
United CEO Scott Kirby hit the nail on the head on an earnings call when he said<br />
that the airline industry would never get back to the pre-pandemic “normal”.<br />
Rather than a gloomy prediction, Kirby was recognising that the environment<br />
had fundamentally changed to such an extent that comparisons to 2019 were no<br />
longer relevant.<br />
