Penn’s commitment to first-generation and lower-income students has resulted in a<br />
socially and economically diverse community where diversity is synonymous with<br />
excellence. Penn’s policies are based on a commitment to meet the demonstrated student<br />
financial need and to support students so they can graduate without barriers to success.<br />
Penn intentionally fosters an environment where students thrive and feel a strong sense<br />
of belonging. We have opened the Penn First Plus office in College Hall to provide a<br />
central, supportive home where first-generation and undergraduate students of modest<br />
financial means can form a vibrant community, learn more about resources, and connect<br />
