Javier Callen and his brother Santiago work as farmers and contractors in northern Spain.<br />
With their five John Deere combines they harvest in the provinces of Huesca, Burgos, and La Rioja<br />
within a radius of more than 100km. The company was founded by their father Santiago Callen<br />
more than 30 years ago. In July, the brothers wanted to harvest barley and wheat. On the way<br />
to the fields there was an `eye of a needle' in the form of a 20m-long tunnel running underneath<br />
train tracks. The passage was made even more difficult by a curved driveway. “It was exciting<br />
to see how the combine harvester squeezed through the narrow tunnel,” says Mr Callen. “There<br />
was a maximum of 5cm of space on each side.” Not driving through the tunnel would have meant<br />
