he BBMF was originally formed to commemorate RAF airmen At 08:20 on the morning of Monday 1st<br />
killed in action during World War Two. Today, though, it is a living April 1918, a flight of four Airco DH.4<br />
and ying memorial to all those who have lost their lives serving biplanes of 57 Squadron RAF took off for a<br />
bombing raid from the dew-soaked grass<br />
with the RAF, or its predecessor the Royal Flying Corps (RFC), from of their airfield at Le Quesnoy, France.<br />
