Dear Readers,
As we begin our final semester in Javelina Nation, Karen and I have found ourselves reflecting
on the institution we have called home for more than a decade. There is so very much of which to
be proud—our students are excelling, our faculty are leaders in their fields and our community is
steadfast in their support of our great university.
Looking back upon our time here, one thing is without question—our growth, our excellence, our
opportunity—we realized these momentous achievements together and that has been one of the
greatest joys of our years in Javelina Nation.
On the cover and inside this issue are just a handful of some of the people who continue to work
