The Sodexo Dietetic Internship (DI) team has been Powering Human Care through our
commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for many years. This team has a direct
influence on the diversity of the profession and Sodexo’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
commitment by selecting, teaching and mentoring diverse applicants. I want to share
with you their success, the impact they have made, and this year’s strategic actions to
further improve diversity within our intern population.
You can easily see in the chart below that the Sodexo DI is preparing a more diverse
slate of interns than is represented by the last demographic data describing the dietetics
profession. On-going initiatives are focused on increasing the number of interns from
American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and other
underrepresented groups.
