Each pronoun you use should agree with its antecedent, the
word to which the pronoun refers.
Tasha finished her history project early.
[singular antecedent and singular pronoun]
The other students were making their posters.
[plural antecedent and plural pronoun]
When two or more antecedents are joined by and, use a plural
pronoun.
Mrs. O’Hara and Mr. Santos took their classes to the gym.
When two or more singular antecedents are joined by or or nor, use a
singular pronoun.
