Physics provides the foundation from which all other sciences grow. The study of physics is the endeavor to understand and define the properties of<br />
energy and matter — the building blocks of the universe. Advances in science and technology, including spaceflight, lasers, transistors, MRI devices,<br />
prosthetic limbs and other wonders of the modern age, are all rooted in the study of physics. Above, associate professor Simon Schuler assists a student<br />
