Follow-through
When the University launched the Power of Penn campaign in 2018, I could never
have imagined how the next three years would unfold. Nor could I know how our
donors would show up to support the school.To put it succinctly: I’m humbled.
Penn professor and neuroscientist Joseph Ayer coined a term for this sort of follow
through – allostasis— literally meaning “stability through change.” As we close the
campaign, I want to sincerely thank you for your commitment and investment in
our School, our students, and social change.This year, 597 donors gave a total of
$280,775 to the SP2 Annual Fund. Like the class of 2021, amid so much uncertainty,
you chose to prioritize education, social change, and the possibility of a better world.
