The Minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality
Studies is an interdisciplinary course of study that
incorporates a broad range of liberal arts activities
– reading, writing, thinking and discussion –
in order to teach a fuller understanding of the lives
of women and their historical and cultural impact.
Students in the program seek to explore the ways
that women are affected by factors such as race,
class, religion, age, sexual orientation, region,
historical period, cultural contexts, political and
economic structures and social systems.
The curriculum celebrates diversity through
comparative studies of world perspectives.
