Dear Readers:<br />
There are so many reasons to be proud of Texas A&M University-Kings-<br />
ville, but our students and alumni will always be number one on the list.<br />
This May, we graduated our largest class in history and that covers more<br />
than 90 years! In addition, this most recent graduating class was double the<br />
size of the class that graduated when I arrived on campus eight years ago.<br />
In this issue, we highlight one of the many students who truly represents<br />
Javelina Nation. Lauren “Dani” Balderas is one of the first graduates from<br />
our veterinary technology program, and she is continuing her education<br />
to become a veterinarian. She was accepted into every veterinary program<br />
