Dear Javelina Family,
While the past 16 months have presented challenges for all of us, I would like to
use this time to reflect on the many accomplishments that our students, faculty,
and staff have achieved while coping with the uncertainties caused by the
COVID-19 pandemic.
When the campus pivoted to virtual instruction and remote work last Spring,
our students, faculty and staff rose to the occasion. They demonstrated both the
adaptability and tenacity for which Javelinas are known.
This academic year also marked the start of a new tradition—the Javelina Day of
Giving. Nearly 1,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends pledged more than
900 gifts and raised $200,715 in support of the University. Be on the
