A wide variety of financial assistance is available in the<br />
form of scholarships, grants and loans to undergraduates.<br />
Financial Aid Overview<br />
The FAFSA determines eligibility for all federal, state and UTampa need-based aid programs.<br />
It is used to calculate your Student Aid Index (SAI). Factors considered include parent and<br />
student income and assets, household size and age of the oldest parent.<br />
Florida residents must meet state residency requirements to receive any state aid funding.<br />
Florida residency must be proven prior to the end of the frst week of class to qualify<br />
for state aid. If you live in a state other than Florida, complete the FAFSA and check with<br />
your high school guidance offce or your state government to see if your home state has a<br />
grant program.<br />
